Kebaya

 

Kebaya is Indonesia traditional cloth...

every traditional celebtation, almost every women wearing this..

now with modern touch, young people start to love this Kebaya..

how to make it from design to real ??

1. Making of plan work :)

we can plan the pattern - the sequin design - Acessories ..etc

The textille that ussialy used for kebaya : Lace - thaisilk - Chifone

2. We should do "Fitting" .. Coz Kebaya must be body fit.

also we can design the drapery

3. The Linning, united with the lace on side part and zipper part.

To combine the drapery, we should unsewing some part of front sleeve 

and some part of side.

Tips:

4. to make the drapery fix.. not moving around..

use "sequin"

it will make Kebaya more geougeous

 

5. Make the accesories :)

6. Put The Accesories on top of drapery part..

7. After draperry looks georgeous, then wi finish sewing of sleeve and side :)

Embroidery Process

My Idea, just wanna use traditional technique of embroidery to computer emboridery..
so, i collect some idea :

 

so, on 1st July 2012, i went to "Pesta Kesenian Bali 2012" (party of Bali's Art).. try to find some idea ..

the Making of BATIK (bhatique)

Batik, (also u can say 'bhatique') is Indonesia Traditional Textille.
all the process are so natural.

start with manual design :)
for example like this

after, the disign ready, we've got to draw in manual on the white cotton fabric or silk.  Ussualy lenght of the fabric are 2 meters.
next process is layering the pen draw with "malam" .. simillar with candle material.
and using pen called 'canting

 The layering pen sketch with Malam, also can do with mold iron, or combine that 2 kind of process.

After the layering process done, the fabric need to put in some water to remove the layer and to coloring it.

the process of washing and draw need to do in several time, depend of how many color in 1 fabric.
